Lego Robotics 2010-2011
.
Trinity Middle School sent three teams to the regional Lego Robotics Competition in November 2010. Two of the teams, ACME and The Cheesy Smurfs Who Say Ricola, won honorable mentions. The third team, MASH, placed second overall and earned a special medal for teamwork. MASH received an invitation to go to the state competition.
Tom was the head coach for all three teams, and Jonathan and Timothy were on the MASH team. We are so proud of all the kids on all three teams!
Here are some shots of the event--some taken by Tom and some by me. Right now, I've placed both the b&w and color versions of most of the pictures in this gallery...I'll winnow it down to my preferences later, but for now I wanted folks to be able to see both.
Enjoy! (If anyone would like a copy of any of these pictures, just post a note in the comments and I'll get one to you.) Please note that there are a lot of photos...depending on your monitor, you may have two to three pages worth.

Notice the anticipation on all the MASH team members as they participate in the board competition. Look on the left side of the picture...see Timothy?
The Lego Robotics competition includes robot design and programming, as well as special a special research project/presentation and a teamwork exercise.
